About Powers Guaranteed Services

New England's Trusted Generator & Energy Solutions Provider Since 1994

Three Decades of Reliable Power Solutions

Powers Guaranteed Services was founded in 1994 by Al Powers with a straightforward vision: provide New England homeowners and businesses with dependable standby power through honest, turnkey service. At the time, backup generators were only available through a handful of distributors, and virtually no company in Central or Northern New England offered full-service installation. Al saw the opportunity and built the region's first generator company that handled everything from site assessment to final commissioning.

What started as a one-person operation in Swanzey, New Hampshire has grown into a team of over 70 dedicated professionals. Today, Powers Guaranteed Services is a trusted name across New Hampshire, Vermont, and Massachusetts, delivering generator installation, energy storage systems, solar panel solutions, and comprehensive electrical services.

Our Mission

Our mission is simple: to provide peace of mind through quality service. Where standby energy is needed, we are there. We keep our word, stand by our work, and ensure the power is on so life can move forward.

Why Customers Choose Powers Guaranteed

We are more than a generator company. Our team includes EGSA-certified generator service technicians, a certification earned by only a select few technicians in the entire Northeast. Our factory-trained staff continually expands their knowledge to stay current with the latest products and best practices in the industry.

• Open Communication -- We are always honest from day one, keeping you fully informed about every step of the process from initial consultation through final installation.
• Helpful Guidance -- We offer guidance based on our years of experience that can help you take care of your location.
• Turnkey Solutions -- We handle everything: site assessment, electrical work, gas piping, concrete pads, permitting, and installation. One company, one call, no hassle.
• Superior Service -- Our A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau and a Net Promoter Score consistently above 90 reflect our commitment to world-class customer service.
• Choice -- We never come to you with just one option. Whether you need a Generac, Kohler, or Briggs & Stratton system, we present a full range of solutions to fit your budget and needs.
• Year-Round Installation -- New England winters do not slow us down. We use specialized heat mats and ground-thawing equipment to install generators even in the coldest months.

About Our Founder

Al Powers began his career as an electrician and launched his own business at just 21 years old. After navigating the building recession of the late 1980s as a maintenance director, Al returned to business ownership with a new focus: standby generators. With no prior generator experience but plenty of determination, he recognized an underserved market and built a company that offered complete, turnkey generator installations to a region that had none.

That entrepreneurial drive and commitment to quality have guided Powers Guaranteed Services ever since. What once seemed like a niche opportunity has become a thriving company serving thousands of customers across the region.
