Powers Employees Bring Holiday Warmth to Local Families
Every holiday season, Powers Guaranteed Services team members come together to support local families through an employee-driven giving tradition. While the program is supported by Powers leadership, it is powered entirely by the generosity, compassion, and initiative of our employees.
Service Administrator Ranae Goodrich plays a key coordinating role, working directly with area schools to help identify families in need. Our team members personally sponsor holiday baskets, purchase food, and deliver everything themselves. It’s a grassroots effort built on kindness, not obligation.
This year, our employees sponsored five families from Gilsum, Fitzwilliam, Troy, and Swanzey—providing Thanksgiving meals for 20 people, making 2025 our biggest year yet.
Every basket is thoughtfully assembled to ensure families have everything needed for a complete holiday meal, including:
- Turkey
- Gravy
- Stuffing
- Potatoes
- Butter
- Biscuits
- Carrots
- Butternut squash
- Cranberry sauce
- Sparkling cider or apple cider
- Pie
Deliveries are made three days before Thanksgiving so turkeys can thaw and families can prepare their meals without added stress.
