Maintenance Plan FAQ

Every visit includes a comprehensive system inspection covering the control panel, run history, fuel and oil systems, starting and ignition systems, exhaust, cooling, and all electrical components. We check for leaks, debris, pest intrusion, and weather damage. The service includes an oil change with OEM oil filter, new OEM air filter and spark plugs, battery test and terminal cleaning, interior and exterior cleaning, and a simulated power outage / transfer test to verify your system works when you need it most.

New England weather is tough on generators. Extreme cold, heavy snow loads, ice storms, and nor’easters all take a toll on mechanical systems. Rural areas with overhead power lines are especially vulnerable to extended outages. Freezing temperatures can damage batteries, thicken oil, and stress fuel systems. Our maintenance plans account for these factors with pre-winter cold-weather readiness checks, battery health verification for sub-zero conditions, pest deterrent treatment, and seasonal storm-preparedness inspections.

If we identify a repair need during your maintenance visit, we’ll provide a written estimate before any work begins. Gold plan members receive one complimentary diagnostic visit per year. We believe in transparent pricing with no hidden fees - you’ll always know the cost before we proceed.

Generator batteries typically need replacement every 2 to 3 years, and New England’s extreme cold can shorten that lifespan significantly. Sub-zero temperatures put extra strain on batteries, which is why we test battery health at every service visit. Silver plan customers are billed for battery replacement as needed. Gold plan customers receive a new battery proactively at the beginning of every 3rd year, included with their plan, so you never have to worry about it.

You can upgrade your plan at any time. We want to make it easy, not lock you in. Plans automatically renew for continuous protection, and you can cancel with 30 days written notice before your renewal date. We’d rather earn your loyalty than enforce a contract.

Our factory-certified technicians service Generac, Kohler, and Briggs & Stratton standby generators, including air-cooled and liquid-cooled models. Pricing varies by brand and generator type. Contact us for a quote specific to your generator model.
